NALTEA 2012 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 2012 NALTEA conference and annual membership meeting will be held at the conveniently-located Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida.  The venue is the same as our 2011 Conference and only steps away from the popular site of our January 2006 conference.

The conference will feature speakers and participatory programs that will hold your interest throughout your time in Clearwater Beach.  From topics designed to protect and grow your business, to educational, to round table discussions and our second annual town hall meeting, you won't want to miss a minute of it. 

As in previous years, the conference will also feature a review class for the NALTEA certification test, as well as a “Train the Trainer” class for already-certified members.  The Train the Trainer class will qualify you to prepare your fellow members for NALTEA certification.  Join the growing number of NALTEA Certified Abstractors and NALTEA educators!  See the full schedule soon to be posted on the Events page of this site.

Conference attendees will receive continuing education credits (required to maintain certified status) in accordance with the programs attended.  Credits awarded for each will be posted as part of the agenda on the Events page.

REGISTER EARLY FOR THE BEST DISCOUNT!  Register now and the conference fee is only $125 for members.  After September 20th, the conference fee is $150 for members.  Non-member early registration is $150.00.  After September 20th, non-member registration increases to $175.00.  Non-members who join NALTEA at the conference will receive a $25.00 discount on the first year of membership.

The $125.00 certifcation testing fee includes a copy of "Principles of Abstracting, Searching and Land Records Management," a book by Jeanne Johnson in conjunction with the NALTEA education committee.  "Principles of Abstracting, Searching and Land Records Management" is recommended reading for the NALTEA certification test.

Cancellations received by noon, September 20, 2012, will be refunded, less a $25 office fee. After that date, cancellations will be refunded at 50% up to the day of the event. Substitution of participants is permitted as long as the planning-events chairperson is notified and the substitution is approved. Registration will be limited to available space. If total convention is cancelled, full registration fees will be refunded.
