Ms. Conway has been in public service for 20 years. Her presentation will be “Reinventing Recording – Are We There Yet?”
Ron Bloecker, Fidelity National Title
Mr. Bloecker is Senior Underwriter and AVP for Fidelity National Title’s Nevada operations, and Advisory Title Officer for the Fidelity Family of Companies in Clark County, Nevada. These include Chicago Title, TICOR Title, Lawyers Title and Commonwealth Land Title. He will address suggestions for complying with CFPB expectations that supervised banks and nonbanks have an effective process for managing the risks of service provider relationships. The CFPB will apply expectations consistently, regardless of whether it is a supervised bank or nonbank that has the relationship with a service provider. Mr. Bloecker will also present “Become a ‘N.U.T.’ and increase your business! Learn tactics that make you invaluable to your clients and become their preferred provider.”
Karl K. Klessig, President, Ingeo Systems, Inc., a national leader in e-Recording systems. Mr. Klessig's presentation will provide a background on the process, the different types of recordings that can be done and discuss the recording issues and how they impact the title industry, acceptance and regulation of e-Recording, and much more!
Kevin Guse manages the abstract network at Parasec, Inc. His presentation will focus on the benefits of offering registered agent services as a means of diversifying your business.
Zachary T. Ball, Attorney at Law
Mr. Ball is an attorney in Las Vegas who focuses his practice on real estate and commercial litigation. Mr. Ball’s clients have included a myriad of businesses and individuals - from Fortune 500 companies to individuals, and from multi-million dollar disputes to lawsuits concerning a few thousand dollars. Prior to establishing his private practice, he was in-house counsel with Fidelity Title. Mr. Ball will address recent case law affecting title examiners and abstractors.
Edward Noyer, leading expert and frequent speaker on the perils of online data and the Uniform Commercial Code. Ed will speak about recent sweeping changes to Article 9 of the UCC that were recently enacted in most states. The amendments may have impacts on whether your filings are effective or seriously misleading.

The objectives of the Association shall be:
To establish and maintain uniform standards and practices for the profession of land records abstracting by setting forth guidelines for training, experience and ethical conduct.
To foster better relationships among title examiners/abstractors and those whom they serve, i.e., title insurers, lending institutions, attorneys and other land title professionals.
To provide information and education to the membership of the Association; to members of local, state and federal legislatures having jurisdiction over the land title industry; to consumers; and to businesses engaging in the transfer of ownership interests in real estate.
To promote understanding and awareness of the importance of the proper examination, abstracting and reporting of land title records.
