With a career spanning over three decades, Julia embarked on her journey in the title industry in the early 90s, witnessing the evolving landscape of our profession with keen insight and adaptability.
Julia's dedication to the preservation of our industry is evident through her long standing commitment to NALTEA's board since 2014. Her leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling us to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.
Outside the boardroom, Julia finds joy in exploring the great outdoors. A passionate hiker, she seeks solace and adventure in the desert and mountains. Julia's leadership, expertise, and zest for life make her an invaluable asset to our board. Greg Savad, is a long-standing member of our Board of Directors and Vice President of NALTEA. Greg brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of title abstraction, spanning over three decades since his beginnings in 1985. Throughout his career, Greg has adeptly navigated the evolving landscape of title abstraction, from the days of wet photocopies and hand abstracting to the modern mix of technological advancements. Hailing from New Jersey, Greg has observed the gradual decline of the title searcher industry in his home state. Yet, amidst these challenges he sees the potential for NALTEA to influence the national stage and uphold industry standards with a cadre of skilled professionals.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Greg finds solace in the realms of literature and music, drawing parallels between himself and characters such as Eeyore and Oscar the Grouch. His multifaceted interests and experiences enrich our board, bringing a unique perspective and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. We look forward to his continued contributions and valuable insights.

Darren's journey in the title industry embodies the spirit of dedication and innovation that we value deeply at our association. Darren's story is one of true perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit. He began his career in the title industry as a teenager, diligently working after school and on weekends, pulling documents and pre-searching orders. Through hard work and determination, he climbed the ranks to eventually lead as the title department manager of a prominent national title company. His firsthand experience in managing operations and working closely with vendors from across the country has equipped him with invaluable insights into the industry landscape.
Recognizing a critical need for quality abstractors in his state, Darren founded E-Abstract in 2006. His vision was clear: to deliver the highest quality electronically delivered title search packages. Under his leadership, E-Abstract has thrived, setting new standards of excellence in the field. Darren's passion for innovation and his deep understanding of the title industry make him an invaluable board member. He sees opportunities for us abstractors in an ever-changing market and his vision aligns with NALTEA's goals.

Heather C St. Amant is the owner and head abstractor with X-Zoom Abstracting & Title Services, LLC in Louisiana. She has been independently in business since 2001 but has been working in the industry since 1991. She specializes in commercial, telecommunications, historical and residential research. She had served 4 years as Chair of the Board of Directors for a local & state non-profit organization in the disability community and is still currently their 5K/10K fundraising race director. In her spare time, she is a long course triathlete, a certified USA Triathlon Coach and a self-proclaimed romance novel junkie who loves a good adventure in the real world. When she's not abstracting, reading or training for her next race, you can find her getting dirty, planting veggies and herbs in her gardens.
