- Makes changes in the membership requirements of the association as needed.
- Recommends for approval changes in the membership dues of the association as needed.
- Monitors members for payment dues.
- Submits a monthly article for the newsletter.
Ethics & Legislative Committee
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Develops association Code of Ethics that members must agree to abide by.
- Develops a complaint procedure and monitors members for compliance of the Code of Ethics. If necessary, then make recommendations to the membership committee.
- Develops a mediation procedure to help members and their clients.
- Supports & organizes communication with local, state and federal government entities.
- Submits a monthly article for the newsletter.
Public Relations Committee
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Publishes a monthly newsletter containing information about our ever changing industry, committee report and actions.
- Works on gaining members benefits, i.e. discount E & O insurance, health/life/dental/auto insurance.
- Offer paid ads in newsletters.
- Submits a monthly article for the newsletter.
- Maintains social media and other online presence.
Education Committee

- Long term goal of developing training programs for new and veteran abstractors.
- Gathers different terminology from different states.
- Submits a monthly article for the newsletter.
Events & Planning Committee
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Plans & organizes NALTEA's annual conference.
- Responsible for setting up meet & greets, and other networking events.
- Submits a monthly article for the newsletter.
